Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is affecting more children and adults today than ever before. According to the latest statistics, 2 North Carolina families will have their child diagnosed on the autism spectrum today. Further, up to 1 of every 150 children born today will be diagnosed with some form of ASD. The number of students on the autism spectrum enrolled in public schools in North Carolina has more than tripled in the past 7 years. In addition to Early Intervention and education options, more adults with ASD age out of the school system each year and need appropriate community supports such as job and residential services.

  • What do you need to know to help your child with ASD with social relationships, safety issues, transitions, or sibling issues?
  • How can you set up activities or groups that your child can participate in your community?
  • Where can you hear from nationally recognized speakers to get answers to these questions?
  • Where can everyone who cares about someone with autism come together to share information and connect?
