Conferences & Workshops

The Autism Society of North Carolina offers a variety of educational conferences and workshops throughout the year.

Conference Target Audience - Conferences are designed to provide information for people on the autism spectrum, parents and other family members, and for professionals who work with people on the autism spectrum. Typically, CEU (Continuing Education Units) are available. Registration fees apply. For 2008, we currently have one remaining conference.

  • Professional conference on Autism, June 5, in Raleigh. This event features Connie Kasari and is titled “Early Intervention in Autism: Addressing Core Deficits.”

Workshop Target Audience - Educational workshops are designed specifically for parents and may also be applicable to extended family members such as grandparents and legal guardians. CEUs are not available and these workshops are typically free.

In 2008 we have three workshops scheduled. The title of these workshops is: Using Early Intervention Strategies: A Workshop for Families of Young Children with Autism. Dates and locations are:

  • May 14, New Bern Sheraton Riverfront Hotel, New Bern - Registration is closed!
