2008 Conference Features

Autism Society of North Carolina Bookstore
The Autism Society of North Carolina Bookstore is the world’s largest autism bookstore with nearly 600 titles in inventory. Books (including those of Pre-Conference Workshop presenter, Jed Baker, videos, and merchandise will available for purchase on-site throughout the conference. This year, the bookstore will also be open during the Pre-Conference Workshop. Autism Society of North Carolina Members receive a 10% discount on purchases from the bookstore, so remember to bring your membership card.

Exhibitor Area
A variety of businesses, service providers, and local support resources will be available to showcase their products and services throughout the day on Saturday. Current exhibitors include:

Autism Society of North Carolina Chapters Showcase
The Autism Society of North Carolina is proud of the work of its statewide network of chapters. There will be a variety of chapter displays and products featured in the Chapter Showcase area this year. We encourage attendees to stop by to learn more about awareness efforts and activities on a local level as well as browse through the variety of products that are made locally and used as fundraisers for chapters.

Adults with Autism Art Products Showcase
The Autism Society of North Carolina operates day program and small business models which employ adults with autism and allow them to create original works of art. Items that will be available for sale include: pottery, jewelry, tote bags, note cards, crab pots, and more.
