On Family Fun Days, Camp Royall is open from noon to 5 p.m. to all families in North Carolina who have a family member on the autism spectrum. Family Fun Days offer a great way to have a day of recreation with the whole family in a safe and welcoming setting. They are also a great way for families new to Camp Royall to get an idea of what we are all about.
Families will have access to the playground, boating, fishing (feel free to bring your own gear!), hayrides, the zap line, games in the gym, arts & crafts, face painting, and hiking trails. Please note that our pool is open during our May and September Fun Days only. We will also have a cookout during each Fun Day, with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks.
If you want to make a weekend of it, please stay with us for Family Camping. Families can stay overnight in our cabins after enjoying dinner together, a campfire, and evening activities. A light continental breakfast is provided Sunday morning before checkout at noon.
The fee for Family Fun Days is $20 per family of 2, plus $5 for each additional family member. However, no family will be turned away if the fee is a hardship, and as always, additional donations are always welcomed.
