Fox 2000 are developing the vampire film for Ridley Scott to possibly direct, which would see him and Logan work together for the first time since 2000’s Gladiator . Two years ago Fox 2000  paid an undisclosed seven figure sum for the rights to The Passage , theRidley Scott's adding yet another project to his list of things to do. Gladiator Team Goes Vampire

Patients who are terminally ill gets bitten by a bat in South America only to discover they're magically cured. The government, never one to overlook a patent on a miracle cure, starts experimenting on human subjects with the bat virus. But things go wrong, as semi-supernatural human testing tends to do, and bloodthirsty death row inmates may not have made the best test subjects. Such is the plot of The Passage, a forthcoming novel by Jordan Ainsley, a pen name for PEN-Hemmingway award winner JThe man is going insane.  I still want to know what’s happening to the Monopoly movie, but now it looks like Ridley “ Alien ” Scott is set to direct a movie about the trendiest of trendy topics, vampires. Those of you hoping for a taught, old-school horror flick of the supernatural variety, though, should be prepared to be disappointed.  This is 2009, so that means Vampires need to be explained and scientific and super zombie-like bloodthirsty! Ridley Scott and John Logan to Reteam for Vampire Movie The Passage

Ridley Scott seems to be giving Guillermo Del Toro a run for his money lately in terms of the number of projects he is attaching himself to, although it remains to be seen just how many of these will actually end up getting made. He’s got the Alien prequel, Brave New World, Monopoly, and The Forever War all on his plate currently, just to name a few. Now it looks like he may be adding a vampire movie to the mix as well, and considering how popular bloodsuckers are as of late, it could end up goiNO, that title is not a misprint. It turns out that a film based on the popular naval strategy game is still moving forward. You know the Battleship game right? The one where two people sit on either side of a plastic toy calling out “ co-ordinates ” to sink each other’s “ battleships ”. Of course a film based on a toy isn’t a new thing. Transformers has done pretty well for itself and cluedo has been adapted in the past. Even Ridley Scott has been banging on about a film based on Mon

Coming SoonCandyland

Candyland……….The Movie????????No.  This is not a farce.  A trick to get you to come visit my website and discover all the other cool stuff I’ve got going on here.  It is in face very true.  There is a Candyland movie in the works to be made.  Supported through Universal Studios and set to be directed by Kevin Lima who is responsible for the cheesy yet sweet and clever Enchanted.  The script is being written by Etan Cohen who is better known for the screenplay of Tropic Thunder, Idiocracy, and woIt has been revealed that Stephen Dorff is working on a prequel to Blade. Yep, despite the fact that he looks way older than he did in the original movie, Dorff seems set to return as Deacon Frost, his character who was killed by Wesley Snipe’s Blade way back in 1998. Quite how they can make a prequel where the main protagonist looks older despite the story stating quite clearly that he never ages, is anyone’s guess. This sounds like another Twilight bandwagon hop-aboard. The Blade series

Hey Hollywood What About the Rest of My Childhood

Right now, as I type this Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is nearing one kagillion dollars at the worldwide box office, a total so large it has gone into made up numbers.  At this point it’s fairly well documented that I wasn’t a fan of the sequel, so I won’t reiterate how there was no story and most of the critics got it right. But Transformers got me thinking about how I used to take Soundwave in the tub with me and, while surrounded by bubbles, dive bomb the rubber ducky.  Then, a

How Do You Solve A Problem Like The Alien Franchise

Many movie lovers struggle when asked what their favorite films of all time are, but not me. My answer has been and always will be " Aliens ." I'm not saying that it's the very best movie ever created, but it's certainly the one that most inspired me as a fan of what the movie medium can achieve. It should therefore come as no shock that the " Alien " franchise at large is unquestionably my favorite franchise in cinema history. I love Ellen Ripley . Sigourney Weaver holds a special place inIs it possible that parodying MacGuyver on Saturday Night Live would be able to go where the original series is still trying to tread: the cineplex? If you asked me that two years ago, I would have laughed in your face. But, those were simpler times, days before Ridley Scott was circling a movie based on Monopoly and David Fincher was in pursuit of a Facebook movie. The MacGruber sketches on Saturday Night Live were created by Jorma Taccone, who will occasionally pull directing duties for the Motion picture studio Universal has picked up the rights to produce a film based on the vintage Atari game Asteroids , according to the Hollywood Reporter. Already attached to the project are script writer Matthew Lopez and GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. This is just the latest in a series of truly bizarre license acquisitions by Universal, which currently has Alien and Gladiator director Ridley Scott working on a movie adaptation of the classic board game MonopolRidley Scott, who parted from the continually-declining Alien franchise after his first installment, is officially returning to direct that prequel people have been talking about . Says Variety : Twentieth Century Fox is resuscitating its "Alien" franchise. The studio has hired Jon Spaihts to write a prequel that has Ridley Scott attached to return as director. Spaihts got the job after pitching the studio and Scott Free, which will produce the film. The film is set up to be a prequel to

Ridley Scott and Leonardo DiCaprio Confirmed for Brave New World

We first heard rumours about a possible Ridley Scott adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World over a year ago, after legal issues surrounding the Huxley estate had finally been settled and Universal managed to secure the rights. At the time, it was said that Leonardo DiCaprio also wanted to play the lead role in the film, but it was still far too early for any official announcements. Now, this week, we have an update on the project from The Hollywood Reporter’s Risky Biz Blog, and it sounds Frosty from Collider was at a special screening of G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra last night at  Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood where he chewed the ear of Brian Goldner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hasbro. Just a reminder: In February of 2008, Universal and Hasbro signed a deal to bring a series of board game and toy properties to the big screen. Among those most buzzed about have been Ridley Scott's Monopoly, Candy Land, Stretch Armstrong and Battleship. Thank the movie gods

Take it easy buddy holy shit. They are just coming out with a product that the player can relate rl with the game. Of course they are not military grade nvg's they are just for CoD or military enthusiasts. Just like the halo fanatics who bought the game edition with the Master Cheif helmet, they didnt buy it so they can go fight with it. Just a cool wall hanger. I think its a cool idea considering real Nvg's are like $2K
