Giving a Voice to People with Autism
Friday, November 16, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Odeon Theatre, 1921 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro
Tracy Vail, MS, SLP, will be the presenter for the Autism Society of North Carolinaās third annual fall conference. This conference will focus on developing functional social communication skills in children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are non-vocal or minimally vocal. These skills are critical to success at home, in school, at work, and in the community. Join us to learn how to select the most appropriate form of communication to match the individual needs of each learner, research-based strategies for teaching communication, and how to use some of the more popular speech-generating devices and applications.
