This workshop is designed to help parents understand key elements in the IEP Process in order to best advocate for appropriate school services for their child. We will also present strategies that promote effective advocacy and good home/school collaboration but also steps available to parents should disputes arise between home and school.
Objectives:
- Provide an overview of the IEP process
- Discuss strategies for effective advocacy
- Introduce what options parents have if there is a disagreement
