Sponsored and supported by Diamond Brand, Buncombe County Parks and Rec, and Wild Wing Cafe, the second annual Stand Up for Autism paddleboard race will raise awareness and funds for individuals with autism and the programs offered to support them through the Autism Society of North Carolina.
On Saturday, if you are a paddleboarder (competitive or noncompetitive), sign up for the 3-mile race around scenic Lake Julian. Don’t have a board? Rentals will be available.
Not interested in racing? Try out a variety of watercraft and boards on the lake by registering for Paddlefest.
Fees apply for both and include an event T-shirt. Every participant will also be entered into prize drawings!
On Friday, August 18, pick up your packet early at Wild Wing Cafe and join us for an evening by the lake including live music, beer, food, and raffle prizes.
