On Saturday, September 7, from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. Sally’s YMCA is opening its doors to a Subway Swim Day for local families who have a child on the autism spectrum. Space is limited and open to the first 25 kids with autism, accompanied by one parent or guardian per child. During the event coaches will provide basic swimming training to children with autism.
Check-in begins at 8 a.m. and participants will begin swimming at 8:30 a.m. Following the session all attendees will enjoy a Subway meal followed by more safety tips for parents to take home. Subway meals will include a turkey sandwich, bottled water, Lays chips and a cookie. Guardians are welcome to bring their own snacks for kids with food sensitivities.
Guardians must be comfortable with having media presence at the event, which will include filming the event for marketing purposes. By signing up for the event youāre agreeing to this term.
