Teaching your loved ones: Boundaries, Body Safety, and Learn about Community Resources

Do you have a family member or a loved one with a developmental disability like autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, or another similar disability?
Do you have concerns about their sexuality and safety?
Would you like strategies and resources to help keep them safe?

Presenters:

  • Virginia Locklear, Executive Director, Rape Crisis Center of Robeson County
  • Amy Perry, Autism Resource Specialist for Robeson County, Autism Society of North Carolina
  • Morgan Parlier, Social Worker at UNC Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities
  • Margaret DeRamus, Speech Language Pathologist at UNC Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities

Join us to learn strategies to teach your loved ones at First Baptist Church, 606 N. Walnut Street, Lumberton, NC 28358 from 6 – 8 PM.

Light snacks will be offered, and the first 30 participants will receive a $10 gift card (one per household).
