On May 30, the Autism Society of North Carolina in partnership with Grassroots 252, will offer free workshops in Elizabeth City, NC.
The workshops are tailored for three distinct and important audiences: (1) parents, childcare providers and caregivers, (2) first responders (3) afterschool, summer camp, and recreational staff.
Registration: Registration is free. Refreshments will be provided between sessions.

Workshop 1 – Supporting children and adolescents with autism in recreational settings
Audience: Camp and afterschool program staff; sports and recreational staff
Time: 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Workshop 2 – Autism training for first responders
Audience: Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, firefighters, and police officers
Time: 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Workshop 3 – Best practices in early autism support
Audience: Ā Preschool and childcare providers; caregivers
Time: 3:00-5:00 p.m.
